Oscar Bloh is a lawyer by training and has over 12 consecutive years of experience working as a development and peace-building practitioner, as well as a human rights advocate within the civil society sector. He served as the Country Director of Search for Common Ground in Liberia for over eight years. He has strong analytical and writing skills. Oscar is also a researcher and serves as the Director of the Center for Democratic Governance (CDG), a Liberian research and policy Think Tank institution established in 2016. Oscar is a political governance specialist in Liberia and led the research of the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) on Liberia, with focus on the Political Governance Pillar.He currently serves as the current Chair of the Elections Coordinating Committee – ECC
Eddie Jarwolo is a board member of the Elections Coordinating Committee (ECC); and the Executive Director for Naymote for Democratic Development (Naymote-PADD). He has acquired over twelve (12) years of working experience as Executive Director, Naymote Partners for Democratic Development, and has far-reaching knowledge in civic education, community development and leadership approaches, participatory decision-making, advocacy, organizational development tools, grassroots democracy enhancement, and community-based organizations strengthening.
He has participated in the United States Department of State International Leadership Exchange Program and is a Reagan-Fascell Democracy Fellow at the National Endowment for Democracy, Washington DC, and Community Solutions Fellow a U.S. Department of State Fellow. As an executive director his primary responsibility is to provide for the day-to-day costs of serving the administrative and technical needs of the institute; oversee the daily activities and implement such policies as may be adopted by the Board of Directors.
Extensive international exposure: travel to the United States of America, South Africa, Qatar, Indonesia, Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Kenya, and Guinea; participated in international conferences, seminars, workshops, and assemblies sponsored by United Nations Development Programme, National Democratic Institute for International Affairs, World Movement for Democracy, Africa Democracy Forum, World Youth Movement for Democracy and the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars.
Barwudu is a skilled election, democracy, and governance practitioner with over six (6) years of professional experience in managing and implementing projects/programs, on education, youth engagements, women’s right, elections, democracy and governance, and human rights. She has extensive work experience across Liberia and the African region in Elections Observation and Management.
Barwudu currently serves as the National Coordinator of the Elections Coordinating Committee where she manages the operations of the ECC Secretariat since 2016. She has efficiently managed the observation of major electoral events in Liberia since 2017. While in this role, Barwudu has served as a consultant in areas of Research and Domestic Elections Observation. Recently, she served as consultant to Peace Ambassadors and it’s Elections Watch Partners in the Gambia to observe the 2021 Gambia General Elections, hired by the National Democratic Institute (NDI). She formally worked at the National Youth Movement for Transparent Elections (NAYMOTE) as Program Manager.
She holds a certificate in Management of Democratic Elections in Africa at the South African University (UNISA) with Experiential Learning Experience in Botswana and a professional development training at the Election Situation Room Professional Development Training in Sierra Leone. She recently acquired a partial accreditation Certificate as a BRIDGE (Building Resources in Democracy, Governance and Elections) Facilitator in Liberia.
She also has experience working in areas of advocacy and human rights. She served as a Program Associate at the Green Advocates International, in this role she worked on advocacy campaigns for community rights to natural resources, especially women rights to land, property and natural resources.
Derrick D. Collins is a professional Finance personnel with over 5 years’ experience in various sectors (Private, Public, NGOs and INGOs). Formerly and currently in his role as a finance personnel, his successes have stemmed from essential skills, including budgeting, budget tracking, forecasting, accounts reconciliation, risk assessments, compliance management, and Financial reporting. Derrick is a person with enhanced communication abilities that allows for adaptation in a multi-diversified work environment. Over the has cultivated a reputation as a major contributor through critical thinking and decision-making. He’s a collaborative team player who is always searching for opportunities to impact valuable insights. With these qualities he’s able to facilitate positive change and make impactful outcomes.
